There's A Reason Why The Most Common Robot Vacuum Deals Debate Doesn't Have To Be As Black And White As You Might Think
Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've ever wanted to buy a robot vacuum now is the time to get one. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its greatest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to send you a picture of an object that it encounters, so you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills effortlessly, leaving no trace that it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.
Its design is also an improvement over the rest with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal System is also self-emptying which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it across the floor. It even managed to catch small gravel and sand which other robots aren't able to do. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shed.
While it's not quite as smart as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum and can't clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent option for those who require both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and it's sometimes difficult to know if they are working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors A hybrid is the best option. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They're costly at full retail but often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock is one of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and although it's not equipped with some of the features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles such as wall legs and table legs which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a area where most robot vacuums of lower quality fall short. The Q5+'s navigation is top-quality, with a few misses on walls and corners.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products, can be controlled by just a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barrier and no-go areas, modify your home map or re-label the rooms.
If you decide to go with the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make the machine easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once in place the process of emptying the bin is relatively easy. It also comes with an impressive LCD display that is great to have when creating schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't essential for most people however it can help you effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively clever in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is among the most innovative in the market, but it's expensive.
The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The main reason to buy the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, chores and functions that other robots have to leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require you to do this.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive and efficient, too. It's the only robovac I've used that has done an excellent job of removing debris from bare floors. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a dock to create a cleaning area for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need an automated vacuum that can do it all.
But if you want to save some cash, or just don't care about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of alternatives available with a wide range of eufy models that cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive, but offers more features, such as stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with an improved overall experience when vacuuming on plain floors, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
eufy is an Anker company with a history of producing robot vacuums with the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set it up, just connect one of the side brushes and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app guides you through the steps needed to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be placed close to an outlet that has plenty of space to move.
robot vacuum cleaner sale is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be precise and can be tucked away under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. The design is less ostentatious than some rival models, and features sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Clean (which cleans the area in an arc for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The way that the G30 cleans is what separates it from its rivals. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. It then returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.
The eufy G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It is faster to charge, has the same battery life and is more effective on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It comes with a larger dust bin, which does not require as much emptying. It also comes with boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and it's less difficulty with bulky items such as cereal.
